Welcome to Overcoming Voice! We’re happy to have you visiting us! Here at OV, we are passionate about fighting injustice and empowering you to use your voice within your sphere of influence. The terms Human Trafficking, Modern Day Slavery, Prostitution, and Pornography have become glamorized here in the USA, but here in the States and around the world human trafficking is anything but glamorous.
Victims endured levels of pain, torture, psychological warfare, and lasting physical effects that few can comprehend or understand, but our founder has endured this atrocity and lives to be a voice for those who haven’t and those who will hopefully never have too.
Our headquarters are in the Midwest, but we travel nationally and internationally to create positive change within the hearts and minds of people working in human services, corporate industries, the medical field, and areas of government for the purpose of strategically eradicating the supply and demand for human trafficking.
We are experts who empower professionals and survivors learn how they can use their voice to fight human trafficking within their spheres of influence through customizable consultations, trainings, speaking at community awareness events/conferences, and prevention tool development.
OV’s favorite saying is Your Voice Can… Because regardless of where you work, where you are raising your family, and how you serve in your community, your voice can minimize the demand for human trafficking in your community, place of work, and throughout the world by making small adjustments to what you are already doing.
Statistically speaking, 1% of human trafficking victims survive their situation, according to the Trafficking in Persons Report (TIP report). You can help us raise this percentage by growing your knowledge of human trafficking, helping victims, making informed decisions with your purchases, and the list goes on. At OV, we want to help you and other members of your community discover how to take what you are already doing and adapt it to fight human trafficking.
